65 Trim or no trim?

Hello all. First time here but expect to be on more while I try and get my old 65 on the road. Just got it painted. Unsure of whether or not to drill holes and mount a set of side trim I found. Any thoughts?

hipdqwik1, Welcome to FTE & the Slick 60s Forum.

Depends on how good your trim is, Robert here rehabs trim, maybe he'll chime in.

I saw a very interesting tu-tone paint job that might change my mind on trim over the weekend.

I will try and resize a pic of the truck. It is a 65 longbed with a 96 F-150 carbureted inline six. 96 OD manual trans too. DJM lowered with 17 Dodge Ram steel wheels for now. It's not running yet...

personally, i think a long bed needs the trim to break up the length. while a shortbed looks better with out. i couldnt stand my truck without the trim...

I tried uploading pics from my phone but the size is too big. I will take a few pics in the morning of my truck in a lower resolution. That works, I just uploaded a photo of my longblock to my album using the lower resolution. Gangstakr that is a real nice paint job!
