I have done some searching and have found several threads that talk about how people use winter covers on their grills. I also found a couple of threads talking about how a winter cover screws with the outside temp sensor and makes the automatic temp controls in the cab go wonky. It appears there is a kit to relocate it to solve the issue and the question was asked, where does it relocate it to. Seems no one replies to that.
So does anyone know where it relocates to? And is there a way to relocate it without paying $50 for the Ford relocate kit?

I bought one last year, relocates from just in front battery, passenger side to the bumper.
I didnt pay fifty, I googled the part number and I think I paid like 35.00. Can you do it yourself, sure. Main idea is to give the sensor clean air unaffected by the truck radiating heat.

When you put the winter cover on the sensor loses it's clean air supply so it needs to get moved.

Thanks! I was looking at it yesterday and it looks like it is just 2 wires. Think I will patch in some wire and move it down. Got lots of various gauge wiring the garage.
Maybe this weekend after it decides to stop snowing and warms up a bit.

Another benefit is that it keeps all that winter salt and crap off your cooler, radiator and engine. Worth the price just for that as far as I'm concerned.
