I took the truck on its first real drive down the highway today, and I noticed how bad the wind noise really is. its so bad that its louder with the windows up than halfway open. no bull...

I want to fix this problem soon cuz its gonna start getting colder. I found this for a good price at JCW..

I thought I would toss out that the two links are the same part. It is very misleading however because it reads as windshield replacement seal. I first took this to mean the Windshield gasket itself. Pictured looks like a windshield gasket but the reviews tend to lead you to believe otherwise......

 

Exactly what is the cause of the wind noise? The vent window, the window, or the seal along the cab's door frame?

Keep in mind these rigs aren't exactly aerodynamically "slick" like newer vehicles.

 

At least I'm not the only one.

 

the noise is from the window seals. there isn't a whole lot of them left.... im fine with some wind noise, but not so loud my ears start to ache...
