Help - Driver Door Window Creaks ...
Hello,
I have an 04 Eddie Bauer with about 4,500 miles. I've had the driver door window seal (the part that the window slides up into) replaced once due to the window "creaking" - the new seal worked great and no noise.
Within the last few days the driver window starting creaking again - almost all of a sudden. I've put some silicone on the seal but it hasn't helped. Do these seals just wear out? Is there anything else I can try or should I plan to take into the dealership?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Sounds like a misaligned window, make the dealer check it since you already had work done to it, by them I assume. These power window motors have some torque and if not properly aligned can wear out guides and such fairly quickly.
I just got it back from the dealer
Hello,
I took my Expy into the dealer this morning and described the noise with the window. When I got the car back this afternoon the Service Manager said that the rails needed oil and that "that took care of it". Unfortunately the sound is still there. I spoke to the Service Mangaer about aligning the window and he told me the he never heard of that. Hmmmm.
I applied some silicone based lubricant but the noise is still there. Any thoughts?

Yeah, the service tech never heard of it because its usually a body shop to do.
I have a creak in my driver side passenger door, but that's because some SOB broke into my truck and I had to have it replaced immediately and got stuck with a basic generic replacement and the sliver of glass that is tucked under the track somewhere. The glass seems a bit thicker than the others and rubs hard on the wipes.
All I can suggest is taking the panel off the door and do a visual.
