There might be, but it involves some computer issues.
Google "EDR removal" and find a lot of stuff, mostly people blathering about removal, or outright lying about how the CHP read their EDR showing they went 132 mph earlier in the day, when the EDR only holds less than 1 min. of info iirc.
I did find this, post 7 is the only thing I found where someone gave specific info. Your EDR would be different, but I bet the principles are the same. Of course, ymmv, and you may have some serious downside risks, like no airbags, or other issues.
