Question Shocks & Ride Height?

Does anyone know how to measure your ride height?
Im trying to figure out what my ride height is so I can order new shocks for my 2002 F250 Super Duty. Its a Extended Cab, 4x4, with the 5.4L V8. I also am wondering if anyone knows what the stock ride height is as well?

I need to know this so I can order some Monroe Shocks for my truck but I am not sure what size I need. I have Edelbrocks on her now and tried looking on the shock for the part number so I could cross reference them to the Monroe part number. But all the shocks say is "Patent # 5332068"

Anyone possibly know what size shock this is?

Trying to do it without having to take the shock off my truck to get the size! If anyone knows anything it'd really help and I'd really appreciate it! Thanks in advance guys!!

Not much help, Patent 5332068:

A shock absorber which is inertia responsive in both compression and extension strokes to provide rapid flow in either direction responsive to rapid large changes in loading as caused by a bump or dip. The inertia responsive valving is located in the piston or the piston rod or both affording simple shock absorber body design and simple cooling. The inertia responsive valving members are longitudinally slidable and of substantially uniform cross section so as to be substantially immune to acceleration forces due to turns and are substantially insensitive to pressure changes.

Ride height is measure from the top of your tire to the fender lip. That measurement depends on the size of your tire and the condition of your springs. A measurement from my truck would be of little use to you. Shock companies sell shocks for these trucks based on the lift over stock. If your truck is not lifted, get a shock absorber designed for stock height.

Yeah that's what I said about the Patent number lol!
Im not sure if the truck is lifted "for sure" but in all honesty it looks like
it has a 3" lift on it. Im not sure if its suspension or body either :/

Everyone keeps telling me to measure the ride height but I have the slightest clue on how to lol! Im sure the truck has to be lifted though because I currently have 315/75/16 BF Goodrich A/T's on her. Which is 34.6" Tall and like 12.5" Wide tires on 16" Bullet hole wheels.

Im sure the shocks are bad though because the tires are new and they have been balanced properly but I have some wheel hop in the rear end while im doing 45-55 MPH which is leading me to believe that the rear shocks are going bad. It sucks though because Im having a hell of a time figuring out what size shocks I need without having to take the Edelbrocks off and measuring them!

So all I need to do though is measure from the top of my wheel to the fender and that'll be my ride height though? Do I measure it in inches? What are all the measurements I'll need for ordering my new shocks? And does that even sound like a shock problem? Whats happening to me around 45-55 MPH? I appreciate all the help Redford!
