interior grab straps?

where can I find some straps to screw into the roof so I have something to grab onto when the going gets rough?

I would like a strap so that it is soft if I hit my head on it. like a leather or vinyl type strap.

who knows what im talking about? like a door strap...

You're talking about "oh chit" handles commonly used in the off road world.

I would suggest getting some spring loaded collapsible handles from a late model donor readily available at any junk yard.

You can also look into aftermarket CJ or YJ door pulls. They are made from webbing and available in a myriad of colors and patterns.

Check out Quadratec.com for some ideas.

Just found these on Amazon.com (another handle that would work)

I thought about the spring loaded folding ones, problem is ive only got an inch or so of open area. need straps. and really I only need one for the passenger side. I have the steering wheel... AND to make matters worse my junkyard that was only a mile away shut its doors. next closest one is 20+ miles away!!!

EDIT:
just found these, perfect!

I suggest fabbing up some backing plates because screws won't hold when the going gets rough. Make 'em have alot of surface area to spread the load.
