i made a post a while back about putting some true duals on my 302 but i'm more serious about it now and need advice. i want it to be as loud as possible, as cheap as possible and i want fuel efficiency and hp gains if possible. should i just run pipe from my headers through glasspacks with no cats or what would you run?
shorty headers, homemade y pipe/cross over pipe, no cats, to 2.5 true duals, with dynomax race bullets, with 4 rolled tips at a 45* out the back.... my setup with out the headers and race bullets

It was all good up until that last line, if you put some big honkin dual pipes on this little wheezer(no I didn't misspell that) you'll lose all low rpm torque and the fuel milage with it.

seriously??? someone once told me i'd gain if anything, i thought the less restriction would make more power

Yes it'll make more peak HP but... fuel milage is obtained at lower rpms and a smaller exhaust system will create higher exhaust flow velocities at those rpms which equals higher torque which equals higher fuel milage.
