SCT Tuner on the way...

So I wanted to get a head start...

Anybody know a good SCT tuner programmer?
If you want please private message the information since you might not want the information public, I totally understand.

Looking for a program to:

1. Back up existing program so that I may restore. (Probably default option with the tuner)

2. Based on the latest PCM flash (11B23) set all EGR values to 0
and disable engine light for EGR since I'm going to unplug it.

3. Leave all other parameters alone since not really looking for HP, stock HP after MODS is good enough for me.

Mods:
BD Power Vane (j-brake - kind of)
K&N Air intake
AFE BladeRunner Intercooler
Mishimoto Cold-Side Intercooler Pipe

Add-ons:
CTS Edge setting zero (Power level "0")
Coolant Filter (Sinsiter)
Transmission Filter (Diselsite)

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Nope, maybe if someone had actually proof.
Plus it if ruins the turbos good, time to upgrade to bigger ones.

Just like the BD Turbo Vane Exhaust brake, everybody says they cause problems and NOT one person has proof it caused a failure.
Been using it for months and nothing yet.

Of course I let my OCD go full throttle on my truck so....

I know when the K&N get wet you lose power big time. So if you tow a lot, just be warned.

A paper filter performed better than the K&N.

Kool Blue offered more air

First hand accounts of dusted turbos

http://www.cumminsforum.com/forum/3rd-gen-powertrain/381656-take-me-school-k-n-air-filter-problems.html

Increased air flow but decreased filtration and rapid decreasing air flow with minimal dust.

Here's a test study done showing the poor performance of K&N and others.

Good idea... Ruin your turbo and let small bits of metal shred through your engine then you can just skip all the BS and upgrade the whole engine at the same time rather than upgrading parts as they fail.

Agreed 100% i would never run a K&N on anything, IMO i would not run the BD product if it in anyway increase's exhaust back pressure, these trucks create enough on there own, the up pipe will fail even faster then normal using a product like that, i have not heard good things about trying to use the VGT or any aftermarket products as engine brakes. If the tow haul mode works right these truck brake very well under heavy towing conditions

Call H&S or any other reseller. Ask them if they still have 1st generation street tuners. Then ask if they can unlock it.
