Banks speedbrake

Well been meaning too for awhile so I ordered the speedbrake to go along with my 6-gun and of course the IQ (gauges).

Banks Power | 08-10 Ford - 6.4L Power Stroke>>Banks SpeedBrake

It has three different settings. Off, manual and auto.

In the off then it will not be applied.

In the manual mode you can engage it in low, med or high settings with high being the most aggressive. Might want med or high only when towing.

You can also have it only come on when you apply the brakes or when you let off the skinny pedal.

In the auto mode it will come on automatically when you let off the fuel. This also requires that you specify a speed to low down to. (40, 50, 55 or whatever speed you wish to maintain).

So far very pleased with it. Easy to connect. Cruise/tow haul all functions still work.

I am not so good at pics but I snapped a few.

It hooks to your brake pressure switch on the master cylinder and the brake pedal switch under the dash and finally the tow haul connection on the steering column.

How does the banks work? Does it have a butterfly valve in the exhaust?

No, all electronic.

I engages tow/haul and works the VGT vanes in the turbos and downshifts the tranny

Attached is the tow/haul connection in the steering column that you connect too.

Works just as good as the Dodge Ram one does just not the noise of course.

How did you attach your IQ to your vent my IQ is currently resting on the floor the suction cup always releases its grip so I keep mine on the floor with a towel

I took the back off the suction cup and then I went to a radio shop and got a mount that they use for radios and screwed it in the spot where the 4x4 switches are. So it is no mounted to the vent. It is mounted on the switch area as I don't have anything there.

Wire is of course run under the dash up to it.

What you see is the screws mounting the IQ to the backing. The backing is screws onto the black piece only. Just up a bit high so that is does not interfere with the shifter or my vision.

the first location in the pic was my preferred location but I put my guages just below that so it had to move. I would have rather left it there.
