Exclamation **HELP** PEST CONTROL for my truck...

So in almost 9 years that I've been a part of this forum, this topic has to be the most unusual request for help I have ever posted...

So I live on Travis AFB in northern Cali and there are a bunch of spiders that cast their stupid little web balloons and fly every where it seems when fall time comes around...

My truck sits for the most part these days now due to high Cali gas prices. It sat for a week and when I got into it yesterday there was cob webs all over the interior of my truck. I inspected and tested my seals using a pressure washer to see if there were any leaks and didn't find any. I know spiders can get into almost any hole anywhere but is there anything I can do to "fumigate" my truck or prevent these little turds from getting in?????

Worst comes to worse I'll just have to keep getting in there and making sure its bug free and safe for my kiddos. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ALL THE HELP GUYS!!

Widen your pool of user responses and drop down to the General Automotive Forum and post the same question there.

Someone has had to have addressed this problem before.

If you leave it closed up in the hot sun, anything alive in there will get the hell out or die.

Fogged it out, and cover your cabin air filter area.

Jose: Fog it? Won't that ruin the interior and possibly ruin my tint??? And then what of the bodies...how would I get them all out. I have a ridiculous OCD when it comes to my vehicles interior...has to be kept up as showroom as possible...

Saxman: yeah man...Its sealed up pretty good. The only thing that I think they can get access through is the cabin pressure vents...which I'm considering making block off plates while it sits...

by the by there are no cabin filters for these trucks...there is a kit for a "HERITAGE" style truck, but not for us 04 on from my research...

There are small interior safe foggers for vehicles. When you are not recycling your cabin air, the outside air comes thru your outside cabin grill into your AC blower and cabin. The dead bodies you can vac out.
Good luck

I think I'd try this before fogging.
Amazon.com: Hot Shot 5580 No Pest Strip Unscented Hanging Vapor Insect Repellent: Patio, Lawn & Garden Amazon.com: Hot Shot 5580 No Pest Strip Unscented Hanging Vapor Insect Repellent: Patio, Lawn & Garden
coupled with parked in the open to let the sun beat on it.
My issues with a fogger is the residue left. Even if it's approved for a kitchen you still need to wipe everything down.
Plus it seems to me any cloth in the truck would absorb some fog?

works well for me. But to each their own. I guess spending 8 bucks to try it is too expensive.
go past page 1 of the amazon reviews page 2 has someone claiming it works wonders for their boat in keeping spiders out.
