Lock cylinder replacement

Lock cylinder replacement
Good afternoon folks.
My 1994 ex cab F150 does not have any tumblers in the lock cylinder.
The truck came like that.
Somewhere down the road someone might figure out that my truck can be started without a key so I would like to replace the lock cylinder.
The question I have is:
How can I get a replacement that uses the same key? I would like to have only one key for both the doors and the lock cylinder.
Thanks.

i dunno.i went to a couple places and showed them my keys.i explained the end looks like it's for the ignition and the upper the door (or visa versa, but i think that's the order i noticed) and that id like to have them cut one key to match both.iv only been to a couple places so far.like 3 i guess.they all look at me like i must be kidding.they all told me i need a locksmith.i didn't understand what would be so complicated about it,but apparently it's not as simple as it looks?
it sure was funny though, all 3 places looked at me as if i just asked if i could have their first born or something lmao.

My problem is that the PO removed the tumblers from the lock cylinder and now the truck can be started merely by turning the lock cylinder - no key is actually needed.
I wish to have the tumblers replaced so that the truck requires a key to start.
Perhaps going to the dealership with the VIN will allow them to order me what I require?
Thanks

Slight diversion, but hopefully not too far off topic. I once owned a '95 F-150 and a '93 Explorer. I realized that the key blanks were the same but the cuts were different, so I went to a locksmith and had them cut one side of a key with the F-150 key as the master and the other with the Explorer key. I ended up with one key that would work in either vehicle. I did have to put the key in the correct way, but it was nice to cut down on the number of keys I had to carry.
