Question for the Cummins guys.
I have a line on a 96' F600 with a 12v and an allison(maybe?), dash reads 180k and I know the truck moves under its own power. Not interested in the truck as the body is junk and its a super long wheelbase.
My questions are, Is this a P-pumped motor?, are there any benefits to this motor over a 12v out of a Dodge?, and lastly, are these tranny's junk or are they worth keeping behind the cummins?
My idea is to find a 87'-97' 2wd f250/350 and put the F6 cab right on the frame, using the whole dash out of the F6 along with the harness.

These motors usuall are p pumped.read the engine tag if it is a 190 hp it has a different style delivery valves then are normally in the dodge trucks.and they don't take timing advances well I am not saying they can't be modded they are just a little different. The tranny is a industrial style so basically they are junk to you you will need a nv4500 or 5600 or a dodge 47rh.

My p-pumped cummins came out of a 94 f700, had the 4 SP allison too. I did not like it, so I found a 6sp that had been bolted to a cummins in a 95 F650.
180k on the cummins is just broken in. Mine had 256k I fixed the "killer dowel pin" and installed it in a 56 f600...been driving it for 4 yrs now.
