Got paint for my cab today! Im freakin Jacked!
So, I got my cab in poly primer and was originally gonna paint the whole cab first then put it back on the frame. I have decided for several reasons to paint the dash and the interior along with the firewall now, so I can ,mount the cab install the dash and get it mobile and running. That way I can block out the cab and prep the outside for paint at my house instead of the shop. Frankly were busy as hell and it kinda needs to get outta there!
anyways...........The shop i work at uses PPG envirobase water based paint. While I haven't seen any issues using it, Im old school and am gonna use solvent based paint. I ended up getting DELTRON 2000.
The dash color is dark jade metallic, and the exterior is midnite jade. Midnite jade was ONLY used in 1978 on explorers and i believe some lincoln products. It was one of 2 explorer only colors in 1978
I gotta say, the dark jade metallic might be one of the most kick *** colors ever developed.....spraying it this weekend...Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Lets see it!
Dark Jade Metallic is the color I picked for my truck...I haven't painted it yet though. It is factory dark green (I don't know the official name of it).
I wanted a dark metallic blue of some kind...but I really didn't want to gut the interior to paint it too. So I chose the jade so I could leave the interior alone! HA!
