New member, looking for a truck

I'm pretty new here, and I'm looking for an older 1966 or earlier pickup project. So far everything I've looked at on Craigslist has serious rust issues, especially the 62-66.

Goals:
  • Replace my only car (I only drive it 3k miles a year)
  • Have something to haul my other projects: vintage motorcycles and wood working projects
  • Fix repairable body issues without having to do major cab off stuff.
  • Initial purchase price under $3k.

In western Washington, are my goals doable?

Have you checked the FTE classifieds ?
You might find some gems hiding.

The only thing I see in the main classifieds in the PNW is an F1 in Oregon that's beyond what I'm looking for, and in the WA State section, the Buy/Want section isn't very clean and nothing there.

What you're looking for might be kind of difficult to find. Rust is a hard thing to battle. But keep an eye on craigslist and the FTE, classifieds to see that one passing truck that is too good to let go. That's how I've snagged my vehicles.
