new trans, no power

i got a new (used trans from yard with warranty), and installed it and it shifts fine, but..now the truck doesn't have any git up and go power. its slower then when my old sloppy slippery trans was in it. why is this? its an e40d 4x4. like i said, it shifts good. just seems like the truck lost some hp and torque, and it has the 4.9l. its a 95 f150. thanks.

Since your O2 sensor is not working, https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...02-sensor.html the truck is running in limp mode, and guess what, when the engine goes into limp mode, so does the E4OD since it is completely computer controlled.

To get things to work properly, you are going to have to repair it properly, cobbling it up just won't work right on a modern vehicle..

Again,,, which one is for your application? Have you looked it up? Hell, call NAPA and tell them what you are working on, I'll bet they have a listing by application..............

Try to stay clear of the bosch sensors, too many failures. Go for NTK or OE.

also, i have a few cracks near the o2 sensor that exposes about 1/8" of gap, will this effect readings? and foul the sensor out fast?
