"Wimbledon" white in a spray can?

Has anyone found a match for the factory paint? I want to clean up and repaint the bottom of the dash.
Thanks, Eric.

Duplicolor makes wimbledon white in their "perfect match" series. If your auto parts store doesn't have that color in stock, maybe they can order it for you.

If that doesn't work, some automotive paint stores have the ability to mix paint and put it in a spray can for you. It's more expensive than a can of Duplicolor but definitely cheaper than buy a spray rig if you don't already have one.....

Advanced Auto in San Antonio stocks Duplicolor Wimbledon White for around $8. They keep a maximum of 3 can per store so you may want to call and see if the store closest to you has it on the shelf. They also have a clear coat if you want a glossy look.

I have had good results with the Perfect Match paint on a bumper. It is not a perfect match for paint on my custom paint job. But the paint shop mixed there own paint and the bed color is different from the tailgate which is a different color than the cab. (Another long bad story) The Duplicolor is the real WB color. There are lots of lines and transitions in the cab for you to blend a color difference. Or you can paint the whole cab with 4 cans for less than $40.

Available from dearbornclassics.com located in Bend OR / 1964 and later Wimbledon White Warranty Plate COLOR code: M

Be aware that there was another shade of white available for these trucks: Pure White, COLOR code C

FTE member camperspecial65 has the rarest of the rare. COLOR code: MC = Tu-tone white!

And, be aware that 1961/63 COLOR code M applies to Colonial White, not the same shade as Wimbledon White.

Yeah, why Ford kept the same color code "M" when they clearly changed actually color of white between '63'& '64 is beyond me!!! It caused me great pains a few years ago when restoring a '64 Ford Galaxie. The painter went to the paint store unsure if the car was a '63 or 64. The paint store mixed up the '63 M code which is Colonial white. You don't think it would be that big a deal until you see it on the car. Colonial is a much "dirtier" color of white and I thought it looked dingy on the car. Needless to say, the painter had to do a re-paint.....

But, I don't think 6t6Merc will have that problem.....

FoMoCo confusion: Cars may have a different color code than trucks for the same color! Lincoln may have different code than Ford/Mercury for the same color.

FoMoCo changed color codes more often than women change their minds!

I had a 1964 Galaxie 500XL F/B, it was fugly Pagoda Green. Bought it in 1975 from the original owner, trans man at Wray Bros. Ford in Van Nuys.

Thanks all... I will heed your advice but first I will test freebies I got today: "Ivory", "Antique" white, and Toyota "special" white (I don't know how that last one came to be in a rattle can.). Preliminary testing shows none is refrigerator white, and since nothing else on my truck is any kind of white, any one of them might be ok.
I agree, CM-2 is likely the rarest. My Merc came 8M-2 which is at least very uncommon.

Wimbledon White is an off white, not reefer white. Studebaker used the same color on 1961/64 Hawks, but called it cream.

1966 Mercs use the same VIN, Warranty Plate and codes stamped on it as US trucks. Look on the 2nd line of the Warranty Plate between the W.B. (wheelbase) and MODEL code for the COLOR code, post what it is.

The yellow/white '66 Merc is long gone, ND. The plate said 8M, the firewall was marked 8M-2. Current truck is Poppy Red... orange!

I thought 1961-1963 color code M was Corinthian White?
