Transmission Cooling Line Disconnect

Transmission Cooling Line Disconnect
Starting to remove items for a new oil cooler, egr and a few other things. Starting to remove fan shroud. Have been reading a thread from fixxer-upper titled "Replacing the Water Pump" on line item 7 there is "Disconnect the two transmission cooling lines that are attached to the bottom of radiaor". I have never disconnected any lines before this project. What if any tool is used, does the nut just unbolt. Don't want to experiment until someone can provide some clear feedback for a 1st timer at removing lines. Have unbolted the mounting brackets for radiator and the 4 fan bolts. Doesn't seem to be enough room so far to remove fan nut. Any clear instructions would be appreciated.

You'll need this:
1/2 OIL COOLER LINE RMVR FORD TRKS 6., ASS8023, Assenmacher - Ryder Fleet Products
And a prayer too most times..lol

Good info here:
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...isconnect.html
If you remove both nuts (at the radiator tank) it's likely the trans cooler will drop down inside the radiator and you'll need a new radiator. The ridges on the lines are too close to the fitting to use a standard Ford fuel line disconnect tool, you need a short one to unlock it. Part numbers are in the link above.
