it isnt a cali emissions truck is it ? they have an oddball ecm

Yes I believe so. A few years back my truck went running like crap. real rough and didnt have enough power to pull its own wieght. to eliminate a pcm problem I took the pcm out of my 95 which was the one i had the problem with and put it in the 97 and it ran just fine. the 95 was still rough. come to find out it my wireing harness under the valve cover was the problem. After i got fixed it i swapped them out again any just to see and they both ran just fine.
