New SD owner couple questions

I just bought a Super Duty to replace my F150 for towing duty. Ive been browsing here for awhile. Part of what led me to decide on a SD.

Few specs on the truck are
2011 F250 XL, CC, LB, FX4, 4WD, 6.2

Anyway, my truck has the radio with MP3 single disc and what im guessing is premium sound. Or premium sound for a XL anyway cause it has tweeters in the dash.

It has steering wheel controls. But they do not work. They dont even light up when the lights are on. The controls on the left side for the cruise and the computer light up and work. But the ones on the right side for the radio do not light up and do not work. Radio works fine. Ive done some searching and best I could find was a few issues with a single button not working and restarting the truck fixing it. That doesent solve my issue. Any ideas what it might be or where to start?

Second question. Is it possible to add Auto Headlamps in the XL? My XL is fairly loaded options wise. PW, PL, Heated Power Mirrors, Premium Radio, Keyless Entry. My F150 had Auto headlamps and I kinda miss it.

Third Question. Fords Remote start that uses the button key. I heard somewhere that its as simple as buying a key with the remote start button and having a Ford dealer program the truck for remote start. Is this true?

Fourth question. Anybody know how the rear window is mounted? Is it glued in. Or bolted in? Or held in with a rubber gromet. I believe the new F150 rear windows are a bolt in deal. Easy enough to replace.

Thats about it so far. Love the truck. Cant wait to tow with it. And the 6.2 feels like a beast. Far better than my 5.4 and I never really had any complaints about it.

Thanks.
Brian

only thing I can help with is the 100 series plug and play remote start uses key with remote start button on it. you get 2 keys( let dealer cut them as if they mess up it is covered under the 12mo/12k parts warranty), the antenna and a wire harness.. It says you need PW, TPMS and a hood switch for it to work.. I paid $205 at parts counter and $59 for it to be installed as the book shows .5 hrs labor. They need to use the IDC box to program it and program the keys... I now have 4 keys total 2 orig. 2 remote start. this is on a new 2012 SD 6.7L

Ok, good to know. I do have power windows and I also have TPMS. Not sure on the hood switch. I will look into it.

Thanks for the help.

I looked and my truck has it. So I stopped by the Ford dealer and ordered the Remote Start kit.

I also ordered a new switch pad for the steering wheel. Dealer said they are known to go bad. Figured it was worth a try.

Thats good news.... remember to have them install the kit.... if they miss cut keys they r on the hook for them... and labor should only be 1/2 hr ( $59 )the book... they have to use the IDC BOX to program it too...although it took them like 3hrs to do mine.... but thats on them too.

the 100 series doesn't have a long distance range and no active feed back telling yu truck actually started, but won't remote start if hood up, and truck locks and then starts, if johnny crook sees your running truck and breaks in to take it, it stalls out when he grabs the shifter...
