Hybrid 4x4 brakes 1995 F150

Hi guys - quick question. I'm swapping my F150 to 4wd, and am closing in on the front axle install. I have a bit of a hybrid situation, and am checking to see if this will work ok. Can you use 1995-96 spindles and rotors with the older 1993 knuckes and their brake calipers? Long story, but I'm trying to use what I've got without adding any more parts. I can get a different setup if I have to...

My primary concern is, will the thinner 1995-1996 rotors/spindles be ok with the older style clip calipers? I know the spindles will bolt up, I just don't know if it's going to give the calipers too much travel, ie risk of ejecting a piston when the pads are worn out...I will find out when I put them together, but I'd rather back up now if anyone has tried this and failed....

On a different note, can I use the thicker 1994/prior rotors on the 1995 hub/spindle setup?
