351W TIMING CHAIN QUESTION

Anybody know how much I should torque the bolt that connects the upper timing sprocket to the cam?
Thanks.

All information I have indicates 40-45 ft./lbs. Cam bolt-to-sprocket.

Her is a link with specs for a lot of things.
Ford 302 HO 351W-Windsor 5.8 400 V8 Engine Specs | Torque Specs - Cylinder Numbering - Firing Order - Distributor Rotation

Oil pan: 15 ft-pounds

Front cover (i think timing cover): 25 ft-pounds

And flywheel: 85 ft-pounds with thread locker.

Hope this is what you need.

Haynes may have it but I could not find it. I think when I did my timing set I used my farming experience from fifty years ago....'til it felt right."

You know there is a quoting button that quote's another persons post for you. The bottom right side you have a few options. If you are using the mobile site just click the small "reply" button under the post you want and it quotes it for you.

Taken directly from another forum
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/2...que-specs.html

Though they mention that torque isn't exactly important, i think it probably is for the most part. They also talk about sealants.
