had this bronco for a while, after i first got it ,it seemed like it was running out of gas, put gas in it did not act up for quite a while, over time it has gotten worse, it may run great for a week, or a day, it seems to try and die out but picks back up most of the time right before it goes dead. when it goes dead it will cranck back up ,but may or may not take the gas. have replaced fuel pump, fuel filter, pressure regulator, ignition control module, and found a ground loose on it. still has issue
Welcome to FTE and the Big Bronco Forum. Let us help you by helping us. Give us some details about the year and engine in it. We have to assume it is new enough to be fuel-injected based on the info already posted.
Have you pulled fault Codes by running a KOEO and/or KOER test? It may help to find out what the onboard computer "says" is going on. If you need details as to how to run the tests, Check Here. As far as Code meanings, post them here and we can interpret. You can also get some basic Code meanings HERE
I don't know anything about the computer or codes and stuff but do you think the fuel tank is dirty or the gas you are buying is bad? Welcome to the forums and good luck with your issue.
gas tank is clean and no codes show up, sometimes when it starts running really bad the check engine light comes on and then goes out no codes present, dont know if it is fuel related or electrical
KOEO - Key On Engine Off after the reader is connected.
KOER - Key On Engine Running with engine at full operating temperature. There are also a few things you must do DURING the KOER test so the computer can test a handful of dynamic changes. If you don't perform the dynamic response items, you will just get fault codes indicating they weren't done during the KOER test.
These are the two self-diagnostic tests that can be run.
