Vid of Woes... safe for another 500 miles?

Sounds like mine use to when below 1/4 tank. I'd try the different tunes and then if it where me, I'd send all eight back if not satisfied and go form there. You know FFD has 10 precent off thur Monday on all injectors. Maybe you can get new if these don't work out. It could be in the tuning but mine started sounding like that when I forgot to put the center o-ring in my filter, fuel filter.

Definitely sounds like something is off. Rich I know I shot you a PM already but figured I'd post up here. I'd possibly swap out the CPS just to see if its starting to loose signal when warm or if its something else. Also, I didnt realize you were switching between tunes. That is classic DP IMO, and part of why I left them. I dont like hearing audible differences between tunes.
That being said. I would not drive in the quiet mode. Also, I would say you are 100% safe to drive baring a catastrophic failure or some kind. It does sound like air in either the oil or fuel. As I said Rich, you need to get a real regulated return on there, or at least figure out where your fuel pressure is. Fuel pressure could be causing these noises as well.

Rich you already know that I went through this same thing, however mine didn't change with the tunes. I don't have many miles on this set of injectors. I hope they don't get worse after I put more miles on them. Anywhoo younstill have a few more times being under that hood for injectors before you catch me. I wonder if our trucks just don't like the 160 injectors. Younknow Scott has a thread about his right now too.

Scott, they are the same. I am pretty sure they are the only ones that make 160/30 and call them stage 1.5.

I just thought this would be a great topic, and this heading might limit the audience.
The stumble during idle was when I went to a quiet tune (coffee window tune). That one is radically different from the other tunes.
Regulated return? The FRx isn't good enough?

My issue with the Frx is that is it not a pressure based regulator. You have the different springs that allow you to change it out some, but if theres something with your system causing the noise, or different pressure, you have no option to adjust it to a specific pressure. The regulator allows you to actually set your pressure to a specific limit or to adjust it at idle until everything sounds better.
As far as a cheap solution to the dead head, the frx is fine, but without a gauge there is no way of knowing if it is actually achieving the correct pressure or if its causing low or high fuel pressure.

Rich if you have a cheap gauge just hood it up under the hood so you can pop the hood and check of at idle. That is what I did before I had my in cab gauge. I have the Gen 1 frx so I did not get to choose my spring

Thats what I'm saying, things could change for you and your pressure could change but you would have to change the spring to keep more pressure. With a regulator you can adjust it up and down and find where your engine is happiest. 62psi IMO is a little low. I run mine between 65-70. Sounds smoothest and least misses at that range.
