No heat, and im cold.
it is a 92 f150 with a 302. And as it says, i have no heat.
I have replaced the water pump last november and a fail safe thermostat that was stuck open. so I have no heat. I replaced the failsafe thermostat yesterday, and i now have no heat and the truck does not want to cool down what so ever. the radiator hose is warm, so i know its getting coolant to the thermostat. anything past that, im not sure. I know the hoses to the heater core a cold too. if anyone could post a picture of the correct position of the thermostat itd be appreciated (so i know i did it right.) If anyone has any other suggestions itd be awesome. I'm just out of ideas. thanks to all.

The "pill" goes into the intake manifold so it can sense the temperature. You did get the correct water pump didn't you? Up through 86 they are normal rotation, 87-96/7 they are reverse rotation. 302 and 351W engines are a royal pain sometimes to get all the air out of the system, I have had to run them for quite a while until they "burp" all of the air out.
Try loosening one of the hoses at the heater core and the top water hose on the throttle body. Fill the radiator and wait till the level settles (keep adding coolant till it does). Tighten the hoses and start it up, warm it up until the thermostat cycles at least once. You may have to run it up around 2000 rpm to completely purge the heater core.

Well, i pulled the thermostat out, stupidity got the best of me and i put it in backwards. replaced the gasket since i tore it up getting it all out. Refilled the radiator, and BAM, best heat i've had in well over a year! thanks for letting me know i prolly did it backwards. But, i have not yet burped the system, how do you do that on these engines?
