accelerator linkage piece needed for '56 223
I am looking for a piece of the accelerator linkage for a 1956 223. I have the longer rod which goes from the pedal linkage on the firewall. I have the little flipping piece that sits on a bolt on the intake manifold. But I need the short rod that then must connect to the ball on the carb which is a Holley 1904. any ideas where i could find the little rod? thx, david baldwin

if panelman doesn't have one heres two possibilities . one any 54 through 56 v8 and six used the same linkage on the left side of the intake versus the right side contraption i have on my flathead .......... dennis carpenter sells the whole shabang for like 48 bucks in his catalog . if neither of these work dig into reds online catalog or speedways street rod catalog or their dirt track catalog as you will find all sorts of things you can use to accomplish what you want , unless your trying to go for one of those puckered **** restorations where its gotta be 100 percent the way it was or it will never do ................

I have a '62 f100 and just purchased a Holley 1904 and am having a hard time connecting it because I think I have the same set up and am missing the same part. If any one has pictures of how this is supposed to look when it's done, and could suggest where I might find this part in Phoenix, it would be much appreciated.
I asked a moderator to move your thread to the 1961/66 forum as you'll get more help there. This is the 1948/56 forum.
Tis a common mistake typing initial threads in wrong forums.
