Carby Linkage

Ok Guys here's the challenge, I need ideas for a linkage to the carby (54 stock y block ) Gas pedal arm comes through firewall opposite side to carb linkage so thought of making linkage bolted to rear of intake manifold to cross over. Anyone had the same issue? Thanks Rob.

Is this because your truck is RHD, or because it used to have a 6-cyl in it?

No Ross trucks from Oregon. Had a home made linkage that didn't really work so have removed it. Still has the bracket in the centre of firewall but is broken, and think the pedal and rod is an aftermarket thing. Always a 239 y block. Thinking of making something with heim joints.

Why not go with a wire type throttle. So easy compared to fabricating linkage.

I chose a throttle cable and pedal assembly from a GM pickup for ease of installation. I needed a rigid bracket for my TV cable as well as the carburetor.
I can visualize how to maintain the stock pedal but I think you'll need a bell crank.
There are aftermarket cable type set ups available.

There are stock carb linkage for both sides , driver side and passenger side.

6 cylinder = driver side
8 cylinder = passenger side

A direct bolt in. On ebay once and while.
