I am installing and EAS EGT. When I open the mystyle software and plug in the unit, the device and serial number show up in a box. I click on it and it gives two windows. One for changing screens and one for "Customize EAS device". I am supposed to click on that one to add the EGT, but is greyed-out. Any ideas what I need to do first to get that to work. I cant find the paperwork that came with it and I have folowed the instructions online to this point.

When I installed mine, all I had to do is plug the expansion cord into the back of the monitor and it came up automatically under the PIDs. Didn't have to plug into the computer for any of it. Make sure you have good connections and check under PID's for something like EASEGT or something like that.

 

Make sure that the Insight is disconnected from the OBD-II port, plug in your EAS EGT connector, and then reconnect your OBD-II cable. Upon restart, the Insight should identify the presence of any EAS devices and add the appropriate options in the PID list under "EAS EGT" (or whatever the device happens to be. Like farmall said, there isn't any reason to connect to the PC.
