Dome Light help - not working

I have a 01 F250 Crew Cab 7.3 Diesel XLT.

The dome lights nor the cargo lights work. I have checked the bulbs and fuse. Does anyone know what causes this? I am thinking that I have a bad ground somewhere?

I read 0 potential between the two post on the dome light bulb(with the bulb removed). I also read 12 volts between either post and ground?

any help is appreciated!

Does your instrument panel light up with the lights on?

The "door ajar" light works fine. Is that what you are refering to?

Also, the instrument panel dimmer switch does not turn the dome light on.
