well the 95 bird , good ol' faithful partner of mine has gone and done it again . it needs all four front ball joints , a radiator as it has a small at present leak , the power window motors swapped out , and a couple other things . well yesterday it refused to fire . i got home last night from work and this morning and diagnosed it's yet again a fuel pump gone bad . got one more thing to check but seeing as i replaced the filter a year agao i doubt it . lets just say the 4.6 in the 53 or maybe even the 52 is really looking like it might happen , all i need is some wiring guru to hook it up to my oe ignition switch and gauges and we may just be motivating along under mod motor power . who knows ..........

 

Don't forget the IRS, putting one in my 53 this winter.

now, now ross i still got one vehicle with a flatty for power so i may need parts ya know ... i think i may have the bird sold as is for a wee bit more than i thought i could in current shape . it has a lot of the higher end options like the automatic climate control system that still works , and the fella is in need of quite a few of the goodies on it .... if not i think it may be that it's gonna end up under the hood of the effie ..it just requires me finding the time to part it and actually do something .... the work schedule just went ballistic again , and i'm not complaining as i need the green stuff for the 53 and my newly appointed daily the 52 .

yep i am trying to convince the wife of it now as i have a lot of stuff here i bought new for the flatty , but i'm just wanting to get it done and drive , and i don't have to worry about the 4.6 as i have beat on it for 4 years now and know what she is . i don't think anything short of a fully dressed flatty is going to look right with what few mild maods are being made , and i just don't have the cash at present fot that so this is my new alternative . the guy wanting the bird called and then got cold feet so ........

 

the wife is making this darkside thing difficult ....... she told me to be patient , get the body work and paint done , and after christmas , early spring i can order the goodies i have wanted all along for the flatty like navarro heads , and intake , dress up parts , aluminum timing cover , water pumps etc. i think some alien life form has taken her over . she likes the old cars , but like so many who aren't really in deep like we are she thinks it can be done on a $ 10.00 budget .... then this ... spending the money to do it right ...... sheezzuzz i think when she goes back in for her next surgery i'm gonna have the doc's look and see if there are little aliens in her mind ... none the less we are still looking for alternatives to the fuel injection and wiring nightmares i foresee in the swap ....
