Last oil change/thank you

Hey guys, just did my last oil change, selling the old gal, it has been a great truck for me. I would not have gotten such trouble free mileage without the generous folks on here, I have learned so much and benefitted greatly from this exchange of information. I am not a wrencher like so many on here, but do the basics well, changing oil/filters etc myself, and knowing when to have my buddy who owns a garage do the rest. So thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I will still visit here to catch up, a little dose of Tex, Cheezit, M-chan, Rusty Axelrod, Bismic or Benny always makes my day. And Maxium 4 x 4 really helped when I was in a bind for a while some years back. Thanks again.

Just one example came to mind again when I bought my oil filter. I read on here long ago to double check what is in the box with the filters, and the one on the shelf at O'Reillys had a knockoff in a Fram box. No patent numbers in one box, good to go in the other. And a friend who just bought a 2007 6.0 was doing his fuel filters for the first time, asked for some advice, came over with crappy Wix knockoffs, so I could help him based on advice on here.

Long winded, but this place is just great, take care all.

If anyone has any interest in a well maintained 2003 with 130,000 miles, PM me. I hope to sell before I move permanently up to northern Arizona in a few months.

Vaya con dios, amigos!!

Hank, moving to Alpine, building a place up there. We built custom homes on the side, I like to take some of the profit for ME, so I am "gifting" myself a truck for when I sell this last house we are in now.

I am ready for a new ride, this one is 10 years old and been rode hard and put away wet as they say. A 4 x 4 F150 twin turbo gasser up there makes more sense to me.

Danocross.

Put it in the Marketplace - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums
That way someone here will have a chance at a nice truck.

Glad the trucks doin well. It's been a pleasure Dano! Hope the changes are all for the good. Pop back in from time to time- you'll still be welcome even without the 6.0.

And what about those who only WRENCH on 6.0s but don't necessarily own one?

Thanks guys, test drove the ecoboost F150 today, quite a nice truck all around. Didn't have much if any turbo lag, but no need to compare the two. I have had a good run with the 6.0.

Well, thanks again, my 6.0 is officially on the market, if anyone is interested. I did list it on FTE for sale, had trouble posting pics of it...but can PM pics maybe?

It is a little weird after 20+ years of Ford diesel driving to go to the F150 ecoboost dark side, but off I go. You guys are the best, someone will end up with a great truck if they buy mine, and I will definitely point them to this site to keep it rolling.

Vaya con dios, muchachos...

You have to do what you have to do. If I didn't need a diesel, I'd be doing the same thing you'r doing. Ecoboost don't do much good with a 31' 5er in the Sierras or any where else for that matter. Luckily I've had one of the many good ones but then again I am **** on maintenance. Once again good luck and hope to see you on the boards. You still have good experience to pass on.
