Two piece driveshaft separation
#2
The center slip yoke is connected to the front (center) u-joint of the rear driveshaft.
The nose of the slip yoke is pressed into the bearing of the driveshaft's center support, can be a real b!tch to remove.
By this stage of the game, the slip yoke is probably badly scored (grooved). This causes the yoke to become hung up when trying to remove it from the bearing.

So.. the slip yoke does NOT come apart? (See yellow arrows) Rather, it comes apart at the center support? (see red arrows).
Or should I just leave it alone and pop the U joints off the rear shaft (pink circle)
Sorry for what may seem like silly questions.. I've only dealt with one piece shafts on automatics before.

I spotted that also. Take the collar off and it should come right out. If the spline is okay as ND said.
