While the power converter board seems to be a major contributor to FICM failures and is of very simple design, it is also simple to fully test under load with basic equipment to find early failures. Ford has been convinced of their test process also since they first made the FICM, along with the induction heat software mod, did it prove out in real application a couple years down the road? You can answer this for yourself!

Some OEM automotive engine control manufacturers in the past used 6 sigma as the standard of acceptance. Seems the standards have changed in the real world today!
