I am looking at the l&l headers for a 429/460 chassis exit. I am no expert but I really think that they will work. What do y'all think? I have pics in my album. Sorry I don't know how to post them here!

You didn't say if your truck was a 4WD or a 2WD, but Hedman Elite headers worked on mine, which is a 2WD.

 

Why would you want such sloppy looking headers?

There 4x4 fenderwell headers are really nice but those look like crap.

 

do a google search on people with bad experiences, apparently a ton of people have had problems with L&L stuff the last few years. sadly, if you need a chassis exit header for a 460 ina 4wd you don't have many other options.

 

Are those headers listed to fit your truck ? If not I wouldn't bother, they make them so they know what they will fit. If they are not listed for your truck and you buy them and they don't work, I doubt they will take them back. L&L is not known for good customer service.

 

Looks like a 4wd, F250 is my guess(can see front driveshaft, and no coil tower, just shock mount). Nice n clean. They should fit... Never know for sure.
There is a company called henderson headers, make block huggers.
My bigblock seems to sit lower in the frame-due to 360 engine perches and modified 360 motor mounts to fit the 429. I want to go headers, but it could be fun-fabrication to make them fit, I hope not.

Thanks y'all, but despite all the warnings I went with l&l.

I called to make sure they had them in stock first and ready to ship. The lady was very nice and thorough, she actually asked me what vehicle, motor, drive and tranny I had and checked with a tech before going on with the order.

They shipped an hour later, I got a confirmation from UPS. Ship time is only four days but the holiday weekend is postponing the shipment and I should have them this coming thursday or friday.

I also made sure their return policy was legit seeing as they are $640, just gotta pay the shipping again and they will refund the purchase price.

I will definitely keep y'all posted on fit, finish and performance. I am bummed to see little to no definite answers on the net so Im going to do my part!

Oh ya, I called sanderson and they left a little to be desired in the way of customer service but that doesn't mean they'll suck for you!

I am gonna miss pissin off all the Prius drivers in my little town with the insane loudness of header only 460 rumble!!
