always wondered what that talked about drone sounded like.put new camper on last week,pulled a grade and the noise was a little annoying to say the least. 01 psd came with 4" exhaust ais intake,dont know brand of exhaust sytem & muffler.? would a different muffler help.

 

I have that same set up with a Fte resonator and mbrp 4 inch. Its not to bad but you will loose a noticeable Amount of power.

 

My Diamond Eye 4" came with a very nice stainless muffler. I also ordered the delete pipe so I could try it straight-piped. Well the muffler had a very nice sound & not much drone, but no whistle, so it came off.

 

thanks for the reply, I can live with it but if there was a fix without losing power or mileage I would spend some money for the cause.

 

If there's a muffler on you shouldn't be getting drone. I had mine straight piped and the sound got a little old,it had a good sound,but it sounds much better with the muffler on. I have a Magnaflow 4" SS turbo back....with muffler

 

thanks for the info.I thinks its a muffler its 8" in dia.x 25" long or would that be a resonater?

 

Mine had drone with muffler removed it and drone was gone. It is a flo-pro.

I sold the stainless muffler to somebody who put it on a tractor, otherwise you could try it.
