Same as Walstons only painted. I picked it up at a swap meet for $5. It was in pretty bad shape. I worked most of the dents out of it and painted it silver. The mounting brackets came from a flairside bed and they worked just fine. I got them for about $5 a side as opposed to paying for repops on line. It doesn't look to bad in pics but up close you can see it still needs a lot ot work. Plans are to rechrome it on a complete restore of the truck.

All rear bumpers were optional .. so why would farmers (or anyone else) pay extra for contoured rear bumpers (both painted and chrome were available) they had no use for?

So, how many of these bumpers were tossed away? IMO, next to none...as most weren't installed in the first place!

Ford didn't offer a factory step bumper until 1967, but there were plenty of aftermarket step bumpers available.

Here on the West Coast, the Fey Bumper Co. was the largest supplier, gave dealers a display rack that usually were placed in showrooms, so customers could see the 10 different types of bumpers.

B7C-17906-D .. Chrome Styleside Contoured Rear Bumper.

May be difficult to find if you're only looking for 1957/60's, but when you consider that this bumper (and the painted version) were also installed on many 1961/66's...

Applications: 1957/60 F100/350 / 1961/63 F100/250 Uni's / 1957/60 Styleside beds installed on the following: 1961/65 F100/250 4WD / 1961/66 F350 / 1962/63 F100/250 2WD / 1966 F250 4WD.

Mine appears to have been made as well as a nifty spare tire holder in the bed. When I get home from ill take some pics. I was told a previous owner was a welder and made these things...wish I had that skill

And for those of you that haven't seen mine...... Not exactly sculpted. It does however, help improve the one ton's ride.

Gary I like the functionality of that bumper! Add a pritchel hole, hardie hole and your all set.
Seriously it fits your truck perfectly, I like it. You have a way with putting things together.

Thanks, but what on earth are those holes about? On my '92 I have some plates I bought and welded into my hitch that have a hole with a slot made for inserting a safety chain without a hook. Is that one of the aforementioned holes?

Gary those are the holes in an anvil that accept different tools and attachments.
Sorry just my warped sense of humor. Sometimes I don't understand myself.

Since this pic was taken I tucked it closer to the truck and bit higher. The 6X2X.120 wall rect tubing cost me 45 bucks. I used some high and tight brackets that I got from an Ebay vendor for, IIRC, 82 bucks. The rest I had. I did buy a few bits of hardware but I'm still south of a buck fitty. And I had the hitch receiver, took it off my '65 before I sold it. I plan on putting 2X6 LED lights in it.
