Pillar pod gauges for gasser???

Hey yall i was thinking of getting some Dual pillar pod gauges for my F250 351w. The only thing holding me back is you dont see many gassers with gauges, i see alot of diesels but not gassers. I really just want it for show and my taste, its probably gonna be a water temp and volt gauge. So the question is, is it weird to have gauges on a gasser? http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/FD/full.aspx?page=100

I don't think it is weirs. i am going to add an A-pillar gage pod to mine so i can out in a trans temo gage. Just makes sense to me to put them there instead of cutting up a perfectly good dash bezel

Agreed they add function as well as form. Id do oil pressure and/or trans over volts... I have 3 in place where the ashtray was but they are mechanical (hose and tubing behind them) so A pillar is not a option. Yet, Id love them there and just may add them in the future! ( also 351 )

I have a set in my pulling truck. Water temp and oil press.

Gauges are gauges. they are there to let you monitor the engines vitals, weather it be a diesel or gas

Ya thats why i say, but i rarely find a gasser with pod gauges, unless its a lightning or supercharged truck. There common for diesels

Ok so if i go with the oil pressure gauge, does that mean i have to disconnect the factory oil pressure gauge? or can i have both working? Because all my gauges work, im just adding them to give it a look

You can have both working. Unscrew the stock oil pressure sending unit from the block and replace it with a short pipe nipple with a T fitting attached to it. Then you screw the stock sending unit to one side of the T and the new sending unit to the other side. I forget what size pipe it is (1/4" maybe) but it's just standard plumbing pipe you can get at your local hardware store or Home Depot, etc.

That's the same pod I got coming for my Bronk. Oil Temp and Amp. My stock ones work but are not reading true at all.
