bouncing rpms
today while i was driving my truck it started to act really weird at higher rpms. when i would try to accelerate the truck would act like it was hitting a rev limiter and the tach would shoot back and forth erratically. it sounded like when you hear a ricer bounce off his rev limiter. BA BA BA BA BA. you get the picture. it would do this at oh say, i dont know. maybe 3100 rpms. i couldnt tell because the tach is not accurate. while it was doing this the volt meter dropped all the way towards the 8 and my lights were not as bright. the truck kept running fine so i just kept driving. got to my destination about 30 minutes later and turned her off for like an hour. when i got back the problem was gone and my volt meter was back in the middle. ill have to run the codes tomorrow but has anybody else experienced this?
