Back from my FTE break with a new 2me F250

Hunting craigs list for F 250 bi weekly for the last 6 months paid off. I found a Solid MA 95 4x4 F 250 has light body damage (dents digs scraches) but Zero rust 351 no leaks and runs good. Took it off its 2nd owners hands for 1900 bucks @101K miles.

My only issue is it has a 3 speed auto trans. I want to put one of my spare e4od's in it. This a big job ? much needed? looking for threads after posting this...

Just wanted to shout hello to all the old names I know and also to the new screen names ive yet to post to with and about.

Ummm...1995, it SHOULD be a E4OD...

What's the Tranny code on the Door Jamb Sticker?

Because from 1992+, IIRC, C6's weren't offered....

E4OD only, EXCEPT with the 302 F-150's, which were offered with the 4R70W...

But my money is it's a E4OD...

At least not in pickups.
But easily could have been swapped in.

Yeah, but why would someone go through the hassle of swapping a computer, AND the transmission?

Doesn't seem logical to me...

Because if the C6 was swapped in, and the original E4OD computer was left, it'd throw codes....

Just saying...

When I was in the Air Force, we had two F350 CCs, both of which didn't have an OD button on the shift lever. So I'll assume that they had C6 transmissions, but I could be completely wrong. It could be a vehicle purchased from a Gov't surplus auction.

BTW, welcome back Bankrupter. I also took a long brake from here when my interest shifted to wood woorking.

Nope door code says its factory and I know its rare. My buddy that owns a bone yard has seen one other like it and the first thing he did was said, " BS " then reached in the window and felt for the ****. Made a smug face, pulled open the door, looked at the jamb and said " heh, Shi*$... your right"...

Thanks for the welcome back! I'll snap some picks (even of the jamb sticker) and get them up soon.

I thought I read in a post on FTE that the C6 was available until 96. I'm far from an expert but I test drove a '94 F250 with the C6 behind a 460. I don't recall checking the trans code but the gear select indicator didn't have an OD and there was no OD switch. I looked at the trans pan and it had a C6 in it.
