Alignment today

I have had a minor alignment issue for a while, and even though I had an alignment done about 3 months ago, I had an alignment done today. My Camber before was -.1 on each side and the Toe was -.01 on the right. They aligned those two to 0 Camber each side and .05 Toe each side, but my Caster was unchanged at 2.7 on the left and 3.1 on the right. I thought I read that the Caster should be corrected as well. Please educate me.

Most shops don't adjust caster because its not usually an adjustment they can make. It usually involves buying shims or eccentrics or something of Thar nature

Find out where the body shops in your area take repaired cars for realignment. They will have a man who knows how to get it done right. Yes, he will use shems, but as long it's aligned, who cares? I had to buy a $130 shem kit when they aligned my front after I added a leveling kit, but the savings on tires will make up for it.

Many shops leave caster .5 degrees positive on the right to compensate for road crown. Caster is NOT a tire wearing angle. Depending on road crown and surface in your area, you may get a pull to the right if camber is set equal left and right.
