Check engine light

So drove into work this morning and my check engine light is on everything sounds fine no running issues still feels strong. My short drives are probably killing this motor but I have to hang on to it for a while longer. Any ideas where to start looking?

Get the code read. probably an emissions issue of some kind. It probably can be read at autozone/o'reilys napa ect. since it is not a wrench light.

If you are under warranty then certainly the dealer as the best choice. If you just want to know before deciding then it is up to you.

Yeah..that is a non warranty item. Check your emissions warranty. I still think it is not covered there either.
