Flashing Check Engine Light
I have an '06 F350 PSD. Today the check engine light came on for no apparent reason. I called the dealer to schedule an appointment and asked the service manager if it was ok to drive it for the two days before they could look at it. He said it probably would be fine, but if the check engine light began to flash pull over and call for help. My question is, what type of conditions would make this light flash? It doesn't mention this in the owner's manual(I don't think) and I'm just curious if anyone can give me some more information on a flashing check engine light.

I believe when it flashes it will go to "limp mode" and then you will be going down the road very slowly. It is true that if it starts to flash you need get it to the dealer asap, preferably towed in. Most of the time a check engine light is related to something to do with emissions.
