Exclamation What rear end do I have!

From the pic can you tell me what rear end I have?

It is open now and want to change to a limited slip or better, what would you put in?

I will grab the tag latter today once the weather clears.

You have a Ford Sterling 9.75 rear there. You can tell by the rather unusually shaped case webbing.

Its usually just called the Ford 9.75, Sterling is the factory its made in.

Your choices for a limited slip in those things are kinda slim. You can get a factory Ford TracLoc, an Auburn H/P, Eaton Posi, or a Detroit Truetrac.

I personally don't like how most limited slips perform in ice. Which is basically like they weren't there. Most need SOME traction or resistance before they lockup properly. I install Eaton E-Lockers or Auburn Ected in all my trucks. Sadly, i know there isnt a selectable locker for 9.75s right now. Which kinda stinks for almost every F150 owner out there.

That looks a lot like my Dana 60. A Ford TracLoc is a waste of money. Check into ARB.
