What's it worth- complete factory turbo 7.3

Has 200K on it. Story is that it lost a seal on the IP and put some fuel into the oil. I'm interested in the turbo, so I'm not too worried about the condition of the engine at this point.
What are they worth?

Is there a list of parts I need to look for with the turbo setup? Some of the external parts have been removed, but he says that everything is still there.

Thanks,
Jason

A bad seal in the IP causing oil contamination? That's a new one on me. Offer $300 and go up to $400. That is if the turbo is actually any good. Take everything the turbo or its parts connect to. Studs, bolts, brackets, etc. If the turbo needs a rebuild, offer him less because rebuild kits cost about $60+. The ATS 093 shouldn't be too hard to rebuild on your own unless it has housing or wheel damage.

If its a complete kit, a wastegated setup can easily go over $700 on ebay. Out of a junkyard I don't really know. My ATS wastegated kit was complete off ebay for $1000 but thats an actual ATS, not the factory ford with the squished downpipe.

Not to jack the thread, but does anyone have a spare pyrometer bung? I've got my gauge and probe but the SS adapter into the manifold fell into the abyss.

You can get the bung from ISSPro. ISSPRO Product Categories. Or do like I do, go to thier sight get PN# then search the net to see who has better price. That how I get thermocouples.

I'd be getting the complete engine for $700. I come across a few turbo kits, but even with a builder core, they want $500 or better. Wrecking yards won't part them out and get about $1500 for a complete.

I guess what I'm wanting is what do I need to make sure is there for the turbo that I can't easily source locally. Special brackets, etc

So, I ended up buying it for $500. Looks like it is pretty much complete. Maybe a couple of missing fasteners here and there. He said that he had a box of bolts and misc stuff at his house from when the engine was pulled. So it might all be there once I get it home.

Came with a fresh SM flywheel and newer clutch, so I won't have to spring for a new one.

The only thing I will have to come up with is an intake setup which shouldn't be a big deal to fab something up. I'll probably go through the turbo before I put it on my truck. Never messed with one other than replacing. Any good writeups or advice to OH one?

Jason
