Are there only 2 bolts that hold the tool box to the fuel tank/cab. I have alot of threaded holes. Also are there rubber bumpers on the bottom of the tool box?

yes, just the 2 bolts. I think those same 2 bolts also go through the top flange of the gas tank to hold it in. and yes should have two rubber feet on bottom of tray to rest on the gas tank, If those are missing just use a couple old grease rags under there to pad it...

Now what are you going to do if someone reads this some day and takes you seriously? Can you say "spontaneous combustion"?

My recollection (not inclined to take out my tray to check) is that there are two bolts that hold the gas tank (only) and two more that hold both the tank and tray. But it's been a while.

I pulled my tray off Friday. The tray has two bolts, which are not associated with the tank.

fasteners

It looks like the toolbox is against the tank so it would hit the tanks bold heads. What kind of fasteners are used to hold the tank in?
