Remove Automatic Shift Lever

Any advice on removing automatic shift lever.
There is a pin that looks like I could punch out, but I don't want to do any unnecessary damage if there is a "trick"

Using a pin punch give the arm some support with your hand while holding the punch. It should come out easily as it is just a light press fit.
