360/NP 435..70K miles... I'm the fourth owner and the first outside the POs' family. It was bought new by the grandpa in Idaho, passed on the son, and then to the granddaughter. It spent most of its life towing a camper but the last 10 years doing home improvement duty with the daughter and son-inlaw... and they were about to turn it in for scrap!!! $650 and she's now my 2012 project truck.

I doubt it is ever going to "fail". I have seen an FE with 150,000 miles on it and the only majorly worn out thing was the timing chain.

all original 360 4 speed with 131000. just took it in to rebuild it, put in a few performance parts and swap a 390 crank and rods. there was nothing wrong, i just want more power. putting a cam and lifter/spring kit in and new pistons. shes gonna roar!

oh, valve job and boring .030 over as well

Bought it with a 360, built a strong 390, broke it some years later, installed a '75 Lincoln 460, rebuilt that a few years later and have been running it for the last 15 years. '68 F250 camper special I've had since '71. Over 500K.

My god 500k miles? How!?!? My 97 f250 has 169,xxx second owner. PO abused the hell outta it.

My 71 f250 has 66,641 as of this afternoon. And we rebuilt it at 60,xxx because of my grandpa (original owner) needing something to spend money on. Haha
