I couldn't find an auto glass shop around here that wanted to help so I ended up going to a shop that sold glass shower doors. The auto glass places only wanted to sell pre-packaged glass for modern glass. I doubt if many of the younger installers would know how to install our glass. If you need someone to install it you might try a place that works on trucks and heavy equipment. Some of the bigger equipment still use the same type rubber window seals.

I believe you guys are talking about the flat windshield in the F series. I lucked onto a local glass shop here in east TN that still works on the old stuff. In fact, the owner and his sons have several '70s vintage Ford trucks they play with. The boys came to my place and installed the WS and backlight on my 73 like they knew what they were doing. Reminds me I need to carry the side glass from my '56 over to them and have a new one made.
Edit: This shop told me they could get and install any windshield and moldings if they were made. They commented that the moldings from DC were good when they installed mine.

Other than that you probably know of George Moir Antique Auto Parts out in Stony Plain, not sure if he stocks glass but he stocks a lot of stuff from Dennis Carpenters.
The only other place I can think of off hand if you'd use old glass that's not broken is maybe Kustom King which is a hot rod shop in the Spruce/Stoney area that also has a stock of 300+ in a classic car wrecking yard. They mostly sell whole cars for resto at stupid high prices but you never know. They keep inventory online at http://www.kustomking.net under "Cars For Sale". Click the stock number on the left of the list for pictures.
Good luck.

This old car thing is a wonderful industry/group to be a part of, met so many good people over the last couple years both in person and online and they're always willing to share what they've learned. The guys here on FTE are no different, thanks all!

I bought all of my glass except for the windshield from Mid-Fifty, I was able to get it locally. Check with the local glass companies to see if the handle Pilkington brand glass, the part # for a 53-55 windshield is DW330. And according to their website, they can add the logo or bug to the glass also.
