That's funny! I just changed my fuel pump on the center tank and it took about 6 hours total. Probably 3 hours just to get the tank to come out. What a pain in the butt!

well i meant the HP pump along the frame rail right under the drivers side. I did putt the bed and everything to check the intank LP pumps but they were fine. But I changed the little filter on the end of it, because it was black.

My 90' F150 302 did the exact same thing yesterday! After driviing for about 30 mins to run an errand. Turned it off and then went to start it up again and it would just turn over but would not start. I waited about 10 -15 mins and it startetd right up. I checked the iac valve today and it looked a little gummed up so, I cleaned it up put it back together and it's been fine all day. I'l try it again over the next few days. Just a suggestion. Good luck!

Check the routing of the fuel line.

I just changed the center tank pump and it works great! The rear tank finally died dor good. Will have to change it next. I think though, this time ill just remove the bed instead of trying to drop the tank out. Seems like it wouls be much easier

Twinmill,

Did your truck act up only when it was warm ? Mine starts everytime great when the motor is cold, but drive it 30 miles and try to restart it in 10 minutes and it idles rough, shakes, et and cuts off.

It won't start at all now with the rear pump. The new center pump is running great!
