Trans Leak on 09 FX4

I just wanted to throw out there for an FYI that my Ford 6R80 transmission has developed a leak at the harness coupler. Last week I was getting a rear diff cover installed when I noticed some trans fluid on my cross bar support. After some diagnosing by the mechanic it appears that it is coming from the coupler. Well low and behold their is a TSB out on that problem. When I went to order one they are on national back order (which anocdotially confirms to me this is a systmic issue) until the 28th but luckely I found a dealer in Ok that had twenty. Well to end this on a good note, all the ordered parts arrived this weekend and I having them installed tomorrow along with a new deep dish aluminum oil pan... I mean what the heck the tranny pan had to come off anyway right, what better time to upgrade!

ive been hearing about this issue, last weeked one of my buddies brought in his 2010F150 to his local dealer for the same issue, they told him to wait because they didnt have the part. Being the person he is, he was able to find it online, bought it then have the dealer reimburse him. Oddly enough, he was able to get the part from an online OEM shop (fordpartsgiant.com) i think, but he couldnt get it locally.

Issue has been resolved, the coupler was pretty simple to install and hopefully the fix will last. Other than that, the truck has a new aluminum deep dish pan so the accessorizing continues...lol
